Beginning with the 2007 race season, the motorcycle class has been reinstated at Oxford Dragway.
This means once again, that any bikes that show up will race bikes only. We will no longer be
paired against the snowmobiles during eliminations.

In addition to the requirements listed below, the following rules will be enforced:

1.
Wheelies - Intentional wheelies will result in the immediate disqualification of the rider and
forfeiture of Tech Card for that event.
2.
Transmissions - Lockup and slider clutches allowed. No automatic transmissions allowed.
3.
BuyBacks - BuyBacks will only be allowed based on mechanical failure. No buybacks following an
elimination pass.
If a racer's bike cannot proceed from the staging lanes to the starting line due to
mechanical failure. They may buy back for that one round. Once a rider lights the first stage light,
that will considered a full pass and no buybacks will be allowed. No rider who has been eliminated
in a previous race will be allowed to buy back.

Deep Staging - No Deep Staging Allowed

Tree - .500 Full Tree for all events

Speeding - Riders must adhere to track speed limits in the pit area and on return lane. Violations
will result in disqualification and forfeiture of Tech Card for that event.
7.
Prizes/Purse - Trophies will be awarded to the winner and runner up for each event. Cash purses
and contingencies will be dependant on event sponsorhsip for each race date.
8.
Points Championship - Points will be aquired each week by attendees. Points Chamionship trophy
guaranteed. Cash Prizes contigent upon securing class sponsorship.

If the event of an unclear or conflicting rule, the order of merit will be as follows: 1)
IHRA 2) Oxford
Dragway
3) MMDRA

Safety Requirements:

1. Functional Front & Rear Brakes
2. Chain guards and clutch covers mandatory
3. Engine kill switch attached to rider on 0 to 10.99 (6.99 1/8th Mile) machines
4. Tank mounted fuel shutoff valve on 0 to 9.99 (6.40 1/8th mile) machines
5. A "Snap Back" throttle on ALL machines
6. All handlebars must measure at least 10" from the center of fork clamps. In no case may the
handlebars be mounted below the lower fork clamp on any machine
7. Rigid front forks are not permitted on any machine (Front suspension limiter straps allowed on street
bikes)
8. The rear fender of all entries must cover the full width of the tire used, extended to above the rear
axle, and below the riders sitting position
9. All machines must have properly secured seats, foot pegs, and handle grips
10. Detachable mirrors, windshields, and all protruding brackets must be removed on all machines.
Saddlebags must be empty or removed completely on all machines.
11.
Nitrous Oxide permitted on bikes going 9.99 (6.40 1.8th mile) or quicker
Rider Requirements

1. Each participant agrees to familiarize himself/herself with all the applicable rules and regulations
prior to competing at any IHRA sanctioned track
2. SFI 40.1-1 or 40.1-2 suit or jacket mandatory for all riders. All riders who run 6.99 1/8th mile or
quicker, or run 120mph or faster, must wear a 40.1/2 suit. Two piece suits may be joined at the waist by
a zipper. Leather gloves and boots/shoes extending above the ankle are mandatory
3. Helmets: SN90 or newer, K98, 2000 or SFI 31.2A or 41.2A are mandatory
4. All competitors running 6.40 1/8th mile or quicker must have a valid IHRA Competition License.

SATURDAY HAVOC RULES
The SATURDAY HAVOC Series is a weekly race event
held every Saturday at Oxford Dragway. All types of
motorcycles are encouraged to participate. Series rules
and requirements are listed below.
